There are so many beautiful things you can make with crochet, but I think this easy crochet bracelet is just so simple and quick to make and are really pretty.
I’ve made lots of these crochet bracelets over the years because they are so quick and easy to make, so I thought I’d share this free crochet bracelet pattern with you.
.
.
So with that in mind, I’m going to show you how to make a very easy crochet bracelet with a button to finish it off
.
These are fab to make with your scrap yarns because they use only a very small amount of yarn and you can use any type of yarn you like.
.
Things You Will Need…
.
- Yarn
- Button or bead for closing
- Darning needle
- Scissors
.
The yarn I’ve used for the bracelets in these pictures is ‘Scheepjes Catona Mercerized Cotton’ and ‘Drops Muskat Mercerized Cotton’… I really like both of these cotton yarns because unlike some other cottons, these don’t tend to split when I work with them.
I have made them in lots of other types of yarn too, but I like the thinner look of these cotton ones… Obviously you use whichever yarn you prefer.
.
.
To start, make a slip knot and chain a length long enough to go around your hand 3 times (as shown in the picture below) or long enough to go around as many times as you want yours to be.
.
.
When your chain is long enough, you will need to make a loop for the button or bead to pass through, you just need to make sure you make the loop the right size.
For mine, I did a chain of 10… then make a loop by making a single crochet into the 10th chain from the hook as that makes a nice snug loop for the button I used.
.
.
Now you’ve made the button hole, you need to slip stitch back down the chain all the way to the end.
Use your darning needle to thread both the yarn ends through your button… tie a couple of knots to hold it in place and snip off the ends.
.
.
And I’m sure you’ll agree, these really are easy crochet bracelets… and they look fab! 🙂
