How To Make Crochet Paper Chain
I’m just so in love with this crochet paper chain and I can’t stop making it! š
It’s so simple to make and is a great way to use up any left over yarn.
Things you will need…
Yarn of your choosing… I used Stylecraft
Darning needle or finishing needle
Scissors
I’m making them with Single crochet US terms … (Double crochet UK terms)
I made 2 sizes as can be seen in the pictures above …
So for the smaller crochet paper chain I did it like this…
Ā Chain 5, then single crochet across (4 stitches)
Chain 1 and turn, then single crochet across (4 stitches)
I did 25 rows.
—————————————————————————————————————————–
For the larger crochet paper chains I did it like this…
Chain 8, then single crochet across (7 stitches)
Ch 1 and turn, then single crochet across (7 stitches)
I did 45 rows.
The smaller ones measured approximately 13cm long and the larger ones were approximately 24cm long.
Leave a longer end when you finish off because this is what we use to sew the ends together.
I use these fab little finishing needles To sew them together as it makes the job so much quicker and easier.
Now obviously you can make these in any size, and any colour scheme that you like… I think they would look great for our American friends for the 4th of July celebrations, also for Christmas / Holidays. I’m going to be making loads more and hanging them in the trees in the garden and around the garden summer house šĀ
I’ve also made a Youtube video of how I made them so you can also see how I sewed them together. (Below)
